Realme GT Neo 5 has been confirmed to be released in China next month
The Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone’s release has been officially announced by Realme. On the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the company has publicly teased the upcoming offering. The smartphone is scheduled to make its home country debut next month, though the launch date is yet unconfirmed. The upcoming GT Neo 5 will be the first smartphone in the world to offer 240W fast charging, according to Realme. They prepared to launch the technology last month.
Apart from the fact that it will launch next month and have fast charging technology, the ad has no important details about the Realme GT Neo 5. The smartphone has, however, already been spotted in leaks and on a number of certification websites. The upcoming device will replace the Realme GT Neo 3 from last year. Due to the Chinese belief that the number “4” is unlucky, the company has decided to drop the GT Neo 4 moniker. Abhishek Yadav, a tipster, says that the GT Neo 5 will make its debut on February 8. The official launch date will be revealed in the upcoming days.
The Realme GT Neo 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chipset, according to a Weibo poster that went around last month. It will have an optical image stabilization-capable Sony IMX890 main camera sensor (OIS). The smartphone was shown in leaked renders as having a dual-tone design with the camera module being Black and the majority of the rear panel being White. Another vertical rectangular module is placed on an enhanced rectangular island.
The Realme GT Neo 5 is said to include a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an inbuilt fingerprint sensor as its primary features. The device is expected to include up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The Realme GT Neo 5 is said to have two battery options: a 4,600mAh cell that supports 240W charging and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 150W charging.
